Dr. Lana Hawkins is a registered Psychologist at Ward & Associates. With over 25 years of experience as a Dr. Hawkins draws from the strength of her training, current research, and life experience to work with people to find paths toward a happier, more fulfilled life. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University. Dr. Hawkins has a deep understanding of various therapeutic approaches and tailors her treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.

She is passionate about helping her clients develop effective coping strategies and empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. She uses an evidence-informed approach to therapy, customizing it to best fit a client’s needs at any given point in time.

In her work with clients of all ages, she focuses on collaborating with clients to uncover what lies in the way of the changes they would like to see in their lives. From there, she works in a flexible and meaningful manner to identify ideas and practical strategies. Dr. Hawkins draws from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) along with other therapy approaches when working with her clients. Through active listening and empathy, she helps her clients gain insight into their challenges and develop the necessary skills to overcome them. She enjoys working with adolescent girls and women as she understands the unique experiences and pressures they face. By incorporating evidence-based approaches into her practice, she ensures that her clients receive the most effective methods of treatment. This allows her to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to therapy that promotes long-lasting change and growth.
