    Our practice offers individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy and child therapy for various mental health conditions.
  • What issues or conditions do you specialize in?
    We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, stress management, and various other mental health concerns. We also specialize in treatment of first responders, including police officers (RCMP and EPS), veterans, firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
    You can schedule an appointment by calling our office during business hours or by creating an account on our portal to book in a session.
  • What are your fees, and do you accept insurance?
    Our services are billed at $220/60 minute session which is in accordance with the recommended fee schedule set by the Psychologists Associates of Alberta (PAA). We accept several insurance plans such as Blue Cross & Greenshield. If we are unable to direct bill, we will provide you with a receipt for manual reimbursement.
  • Do you offer teletherapy or online sessions?
    Yes, we offer teletherapy or online sessions for clients who prefer remote counseling.
  • How long are the sessions, and how frequent are they?
    Sessions typically last 50 minutes to an hour, and the frequency depends on the client's needs, usually ranging from once a week to bi-weekly.
  • What can I expect during my first session?
    During the first session, your therapist will gather information about your concerns, discuss therapy goals, and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
  • How experienced are the therapists in your practice?
    Our therapists are licensed professionals with years of experience in the field of psychology and have expertise in various therapeutic modalities.
  • What approaches or therapeutic techniques do you use?
    We utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based approaches, EMDR, narrative therapy, attachment and more, tailored to individual needs.
  • How confidential is the therapy process?
    Confidentiality is crucial in therapy. Information shared within sessions is kept strictly confidential unless there is a risk of harm to self or others.
  • What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
    Please contact our office at least 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.
  • How long does therapy typically last for different issues or concerns?
    The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and the complexity of the concerns being addressed.
  • Do you offer sliding scale fees or financial assistance?
    Yes, we offer a sliding scale fee for clients facing financial constraints. Please discuss this with our office staff during scheduling.
