My training has given me the tools to invite you into a different kind of conversation than you may be having with friends or family, with the purpose of generating new insights and getting to the heart of the matter. Ultimately, my goal is help you find solutions that fit for YOU so that you can live your life to the fullest and feel better prepared to deal with any future challenges that come your way.
I have several years of experience in helping people overcome symptoms of depression and anxiety. I also enjoy helping people gain mastery in their social lives including building interpersonal communication and assertiveness. I use well-researched cognitive-behaviour therapy principles to help you get to where you want to be. I also have a specific interest in relationship counselling and use practical strategies to help couples communicate more effectively.
I am a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and am also a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling from the University of Calgary and have completed specialized training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills and Gottman Therapy. I also have certification in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) for the treatment of traumatic experiences.
In my spare time, I love exploring our local river valley and amazing rocky mountains further south. I am also a die-hard animal lover and enjoy supporting animal rescues. I am exhilarated by learning new things and enjoy participating in regular training to keep my therapy skills sharp and to continue to offer my clients the most current expertise.

My professional philosophy centres on the importance of developing a meaningful therapeutic experience through a safe, private and collaborative relationship between client and therapist.
