Hi, I’m Jennie Ward and I’m glad that you’ve made it to our website.
I understand that it’s hard to seek therapy and to find the right person to help you at such a difficult time in your life. I’ll describe a bit about myself and see if we might be a good fit to work together.
I’m passionate about helping people become more calm and relaxed, find more meaning in life and just get happier. My goal is to help guide you to a place where you feel excited about your life again. Although I deal with deep, dark and difficult things in treatment, I do feel that I have a lighthearted energy about me.
I am a specialist in dealing with PTSD and I love to help people to move forward after a trauma with a greater sense of control and peace. I will guide you through the process of treatment by helping you understand why you are feeling what you’re feeling and how to manage the symptoms with strategies that truly work. I’m trained in treatments that have been proven through research to be effective at treating PTSD: EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure.
I particularly understand issues related to being a first responder and I regularly work with military members, veterans, police officers and emergency medical specialists.
I also specialize in treatment of anxiety, whether it’s worries, panic attacks or when you just can’t manage to relax no matter what you do. I use cognitive-behavioral strategies to help you learn skills to manage your own anxiety. I help you with practical tools and strategies to prevent anxiety from coming back.
I often work with people who are just a bit lost in life. Who want more out of their day to day experience but feel a bit trapped where they’re at. If you feel like this, I’d love to help you out.
If you’re interested in the spiritual side of life, this is another specialty area of mine. (if you’re interested in this too, check this out).
So, if you think we’re a good fit for therapy, contact my clinic.
